Senior travellers

At airBaltic, we aim to make your journey as smooth and enjoyable as possible. Whether you haven’t flown in years or travel often, we’re here to help you feel confident and comfortable.

Planning your flight

  • Prefer a printed boarding pass? Simply select the PDF version when checking in online and print it at home. You can also use the airBaltic app to access your boarding pass directly on your phone. If you opt for a digital version, there's no need to print it – just ensure it’s ready to display on your screen.
  • Reminder: Online check-in is the most convenient option. Please note that an additional fee applies if you choose to check in at the airport.
  • Important: For certain destinations, online check-in may not be available. In those cases, airport check-in will be free of charge.
  • Mobility Aids: You can bring wheelchairs, walkers, or scooters without additional cost. Need help at the airport? Ask for wheelchair service in advance!
  • Portable oxygen: You can bring a portable oxygen concentrator (POC) if it meets flying rules. Let us know before your flight.
  • Assisted travel: If you have hearing, vision, mobility or other disabilities, we will help to make your travels more convenient. Contact us 48 hours before the flight so we can prepare.

At the airport

  • Use the airBaltic app to get your boarding pass on your phone or print your boarding pass at home if that feels easier
  • Wear comfortable shoes
  • If you have asked for additional assistance 48 hours before the flight (e.g. wheelchair service) you will be guided to the plane earlier. This will give you extra time to get to your seat. Otherwise, please board together with other passengers.

During the flight

Getting settled

Our crew can help you:

  • Find your seat
  • Store your bag
  • Adjust your seat (all seats have armrests that move for more comfort) or seatbelt if needed

Medication

Keep all important medicine in your carry-on bag so it’s easy to reach. Please make sure to comply with security regulations, such as liquid restrictions (e.g. liquid medications must typically be in containers of 100 ml or less and placed in a transparent plastic bag). We also recommend carrying a doctor’s note or prescription if you are bringing larger quantities or special medication, as airport security may ask for proof that the medicine is for personal use.

Lavatory access

Need help getting to the restroom? Inform the crew.

  • Lavatories for economy class passengers are at the back of the plane
  • Business class passengers has one lavatory at the front
  • We have a aisle wheelchair for easier access to the lavatory

Health

  • Keep medicine in your carry-on bag
  • Tell the crew if you feel unwell
  • Our crew can contact medical professionals if needed

Stay comfortable

  • Bring a sweater or scarf
  • Drink water often
  • Press the blue cabin crew call button over your head if you need help

After the flight

  • If you use a mobility device, it will be returned to you at the gate or in the baggage area, depending on the ground operations procedure in each airport.
  • Tell the airport staff if you feel sick or need help.
